CherryBrooks’ CallAI Puts an Answering Voice Behind Every Business Line

For many small Nigerian businesses, the phone is the sales desk. A salon, clinic or logistics firm that cannot pick up during a busy hour or after closing may never learn what that caller wanted. CherryBrooks, a Nigerian AI and technology firm, is pitching its CallAI platform at exactly that gap.

CherryBrooks describes itself as an AI and technology solutions company offering product development, digital transformation advice, talent outsourcing and AI-based platforms for enterprises, governments and fast-growing organisations. CallAI is its featured product: a service that lets a business create, deploy and scale human-like voice agents to handle calls around the clock. The company’s pages say the system can take thousands of simultaneous inbound and outbound calls, record and transcribe each one, and run sentiment analysis on the conversation. When a call needs a person, the agent can hand it to a human, using routing and a knowledge base the business supplies.

The platform is also sold as more than a phone answerer. CherryBrooks says CallAI combines AI voice agents with a unified inbox that gathers calls, WhatsApp messages, SMS, email and Instagram and Facebook messages in one dashboard, plus links to customer-relationship software. Its FAQ says pricing is in naira and that the service is built for Nigerian and wider African conditions, including local compliance. A smaller package, CallAI Standard, gives small businesses one or two voice agents to answer and place calls. The company’s site also notes pilot deployments across Nigeria, which suggests the product is still being rolled out and proven with customers.

What about missed calls? CherryBrooks does not list a dedicated missed-call recovery feature in the material reviewed, but the idea fits the product. In general, missed-call management means capturing the caller’s number and time, alerting the owner by text or WhatsApp, sending an automatic reply and following up with a callback, so that no caller is left without an answer. An AI voice agent that answers instead of letting the phone ring out removes the problem at the source, and one that logs and transcribes each conversation gives staff a record to act on afterwards. Whether CallAI also places outbound callbacks to people who hung up is a question to put to the company directly.

The company’s marketing makes bold performance claims. It says its customer-service agent can automatically resolve about 80 percent of routine enquiries such as order tracking, returns and FAQs, cut response times by 70 percent and reduce customer waiting times by 90 percent. These numbers come from CherryBrooks’ own website, with no independent study or customer data published alongside them, so businesses should treat them as targets to test rather than guaranteed results.

CherryBrooks is not alone. On September 23, another Nigerian company, PayWithPlay, launched CallGPT, an AI voice product aimed at the same lost-revenue problem, with support for Nigerian English, Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo. The overlap shows growing interest in voice automation among Nigerian companies, and it gives buyers something to compare.

For a business owner considering CallAI or a rival, a short checklist helps. Ask which Nigerian languages and accents the voice agent handles well, since a bot that misunderstands Pidgin or Yoruba can frustrate callers. Ask how it escalates to a person and what happens after hours. Check how recordings and transcripts are stored and whether callers are told they are speaking to an AI, which matters for privacy and trust. Run a pilot on a single line, measure how many calls are answered and resolved, and compare the cost against hiring staff. And confirm whether the price is fixed in naira, since foreign-currency tools can change in cost with the exchange rate.
